Strong wind gusts are holding on this morning with gust reports in the 40 and 50+ mph. The wind advisory expires at 6am, but we will still deal with gusty winds through the day. The afternoon will bring gusts closer to 30 mph for the afternoon. As a result, winds chills will be in the teens and 20s. The nicest day will be Thanksgiving with mostly sunny skies and winds a little breezy around 10 to 15 mph. It will be overall cooler with 20s to start and 30s in the afternoon. The wind chill for the holiday will still be in the teens and 20s.
We are keeping watch on the next round of snow headed our way which is expected to arrive Friday into Saturday. The way it is looking now, snow will move into the state Friday afternoon and evening. Snow will continue to fall overnight and through most of Saturday. If this stays true, we will be looking at the threat for heavy snow. There is still a chance for this system to adjust its track and change the snow impact for some of the state. The disturbance is still over the Pacific Ocean, so there is still room for snow totals to adjust. After the snow chances, we will cool things down with 20s/teens and single digits expected for next week.
