Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R taking on Imola circuit

The Corvette Z06 GT3.R is the Chevrolet brand's GT3 class car based on the Chevrolet Corvette C8 road car

It was designed by Vlad Kapitonov and built by Chevrolet in conjunction with Pratt & Miller Engineering. After two years of testing, it was unveiled to the public on 27th January 2023, at the 24 Hours of Daytona eve

The chassis is an aluminum monocoque and the suspension is double wishbone. The brake calipers are six-piston at the front and four-piston at the rear. It is 4.63 m long, 2.05 m wide, 1.148 m high and has a wheelbase of 2.723 m. The engine is the LT6.R: a 5.5L naturally aspirated 90° dry-sump flat-plane crankshaft longitudinally mid-mounted V8, mated to an Xtrac P529 6-speed sequential transmission

Compared to the road version, it has fewer horsepower but weighs less and is suited for racing.
The C8.R was built exclusively for Pratt & Miller, while the Z06 is also well suited to customer teams. Ease of handling, maintenance, and stability improved, and the cockpit had minimal changes

Its first victory came at COTA in the GT World Challenge America.
The car can be found on the grids of the WEC, ELMS, GT World Challenge, GT America, and IMSA. In the latter championship, in 2025, Robert Wickens drives one with adapted controls created by Bosch, Chevrolet, DXDT Racing, and Pratt & Miller
