Coledale Horseshoe BIRTHDAY Wild Camp in the Lanshan 2 Tent

I head to the rugged Northern Lake District national park for a two day wild camping adventure in the Lanshan 2 tent (with 4 season inner). Night one sees us at advanced base camp (Rydal Hall) and a few scoops in the Badger Bar. The lads were kind enough to surprise me with an epic present, which is very comfy. The next day, we headed into Ambleside for a cooked breakfast and obligatory visit to the outdoor shops, before starting the epic 'Coldedale Horseshoe' which takes in various summits in a spectacular area of the Lake District. The ascent was tough with the usual heavy pack and we arrived at the pitch site looking forward to a well earned rest and a few birthday beers.

The next day, we set off to complete the next half of the walk, taking in some epic summits and enjoying some spectacular clouds and scenery. A variety of tents were used on this trip and it was nice to take the very minimal but effective 'Lanshan 2'.

The seed has been planted for the Durston X Mid which looks to be an epic shelter.

A fantastic way to celebrate my birthday and some top memories made
