How can it be Easter without a Pastiera at your table?
This is my personal favorite Easter cake recipe and absolutely the best Italian dessert out there!
Pastiera is a Ricotta cake with candied fruits, wheat, and many aromas! Watch this video to learn how to make a perfect Neapolitan Pastiera this Easter 2021!
Ingredients:
• 500g All-purpose flour
• 300g Butter
• 1/3 vanilla bean pulp
• Zeste of half a lemon
• 5g salt
• 90g Yolks (5 medium-sized)
• 200g Powdered sugar
• 500g Ricotta cheese
• Orange blossom essence
• 400g Sugar
• 100g candied fruits
• 3 eggs and 3 yolks
• Cinnamon
• 1/3 vanilla bean pulp
• 300g cooked wheat
• 500g milk
• 30g butter
• Peels of half a lemon
