Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Antonio Ernesto Lagdameo Jr. presides over a situation briefing on the effects of Super Typhoon ‘Uwan’ in the Province of Pangasinan at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) Administration Building in Lingayen on November 17, 2025.
Joined by key Cabinet members and local government officials from the Province, the discussion focuses on speeding up immediate government aid and developing long-term solutions to help various affected sectors.
According to the latest reports from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), a total of 10 municipalities and one (1) city have been affected by the onslaught of Super Typhoon ‘Uwan’, affecting 343,673 families or 1,173,199 individuals.
Furthermore, the Province suffered extensive damage in the agricultural sector, estimated at Php1.3 billion, with fisheries leading at Php605 million in damages, followed by high-value crops at Php561 million. Of the affected communities, a total of 34,618 houses were damaged, including 2,980 that were completely destroyed and 31,638 that were partially damaged.
Concluding the situation briefing, SAP Lagdameo emphasized the Administration’s commitment to mobilize all available resources to expedite relief, reconstruction and long-term resilience for Pangasinan.
