A wild day through forests and open moorland to arrive at a campsite. Our first time meeting Andy who arrived with the rain. It started with a misty meeting with the 4000yr old Laggangairn Standing Stones, before summiting the first 1000ft hill on the Southern Upland Way at Craig Airie Fell. Thereafter it was a fairly easy walk through woodland, bracken and open moors, often with no visible human path to get to Bargrennan, our intended destination
