This winery has been owned by the Diatto-Negri family since 1880. In 2001, Giovanni Negi, who is a former member of the Italian Parliament took over management of the winery. In 2014, he passed management control to Giulia Negri, who at that time was in her 20s. She is seen a modern winemaker and has the nickname "Barolo Girl"
Serradenari in MGA or single vineyard/sub region in the village of La Morra. Because it is the highest point of land in Barolo medieval peasants took refuge here from the Black Death. It is also known as where alba truffles are grown & found.
This wine is produced with 100% Nebbiolo grapes at an altitude of 520 metres above sea level. The wines are aged for 30 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.
