This is kind of a blues song with an interesting pulsating bass track created with my Behringer Poly D analog synth. The lead was created with my Les Paul through a Fender Mustang III amp. I sent the effects out into an EHX Oceans 12 dual stereo reverb and connected the stereo outputs from that pedal directly into my mixer. The guitar part is a bit monotonous - probably because this was all recorded quickly and wasn't fully fleshed-out as a song. Maybe I'll revisit it in the future...
Trivia: I recently discovered I could record the keyboard and drums simultaneously in separate channels as long as I recorded them as separate mono tracks (a hardware limit, since the mixer can only send a stereo track to my DAW). I created a pseudo-stereo track with the drums by delaying the left and right channels of two mono tracks (it's actually a delay patch included with Adobe Audition 3.0). I then duplicated the stereo drum track and kept the levels set to 0 on one of them until it was time for the drum fills. During the drum fills, I raised the volume on the 2nd track and added flanging to it, then lowered the volume on that track again. That's how I got the flanged drums during the fills and normal drums the rest of the time.
