We take you on a guided tour of all Paultons Park's major attractions and new developments across the UK's number one family theme park. We tour Peppa Pig World, Lost Kingdom, Tornado Springs and Critter Creek and take a look at the brand new Ghostly Manor dark ride, and check on the construction progress of the upcoming Viking-themed expansion, Valgard – Realm of the Vikings, opening in 2026.

Paultons Park is located in the New Forest National Park near Ower, Hampshire, and features over 70 rides and attractions across 140 acres of landscaped gardens, animal habitats, and immersive themed lands. The park opened in 1983 on the historic Paultons Estate, and since then has transformed into one of the UK’s top destinations for family entertainment. Originally a country park and bird garden, Paultons Park now combines thrilling rides, unique attractions, and rich storytelling for visitors of all ages.

The most famous area is Peppa Pig World, which opened in 2011 and remains the only one of its kind in the UK. It features nine themed rides, including Peppa's Balloon Ride, George's Dinosaur Adventure, and Grampy Rabbit's Sailing Club. The area also includes themed play zones, character meet and greets, and the largest Peppa Pig toy shop in the world.

Beyond Peppa Pig World, families can explore Lost Kingdom, a dinosaur-themed area with two Vekoma coasters, Flight of the Pterosaur and Velociraptor, as well as Temple Heights, Dino Chase, and a prehistoric safari-style ride. Tornado Springs, themed around 1950s Americana, offers rides for all ages including Storm Chaser, the spinning coaster, Cyclonator, the gyro swing, and the Farmyard Flyer junior coaster.

In 2025, Ghostly Manor opened in the former 4D Cinema building on Show Street. This fully indoor dark ride tells the spooky story of ghost hunter Dr. Kinley and challenges riders to recapture escaped spirits using Phantom Phasers. Ghostly Manor blends physical sets with 10-metre-wide digital screens, rotating ride vehicles, and real-time scoring for an immersive interactive experience.

Visible from several points across the park is construction progress on Valgard – Realm of the Vikings, a £12 million expansion scheduled to open in May 2026. This Nordic-inspired land will feature Drakon, a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter coaster with a vertical lift, two inversions, and the UK’s first zero-g stall. Also confirmed are Vild Swing, the UK’s first ART Engineering Wild Swing, and a rethemed version of Cobra called Raven. A Viking playground and a themed dining hall will complete the area, making it one of the park’s biggest expansions to date.

Paultons Park continues to evolve, with future plans including an on-site hotel to accommodate growing demand for short breaks. With a strong focus on quality, family appeal, and storytelling, the park has earned multiple industry awards and remains one of the most popular day-out destinations in the UK.
