Visiting ABENBERG and its CASTLE. (Germany). A lost small town but with a nice places to see.

Welcome back and a Happy New Year 2026 and welcome to the first video of my channel in the new year. Join me in this video on a tour into the small town Abenberg with a walk into the small old town and its known castle. Let´s have a look how look the town in wintertime and in the first days of a year.


Experience at the old town:
I walked step by step into the small but intersting old town of Abenberg. I went at the Upper Gate inside and crossed the market place. Finally I left the small old town at the Lower Gate.
According to the cold tempreture I went in the late romosquere Saint Jacobus church and could went up under the organ where I enjoyed a view to the main ship.


Visiting Abenberg castle:
In the secind part I went up to Abenberg castle and to my surprise I was the only person at the big patio. I was looking down to the town and explained what kind of events are organized by Abenberg in summertime. After a walk around the massive walls of the castle I came out at the area where in summer a big stage will built for concerts and events for memories to the middle age.
Meybe in summertime I came back for making an extra review about Abendberg castle.


Some info about Abenberg:
The tows is loceated at the district of the two bigger towns called Schwabach and Roth and is easy to arrive by the highway A6. The town has a historic city center and the castle built the landmark of the town. Also the Old town includes the Upper and Lower Gate which shows a kind of border between the city center and the areas around the town. The major house, a kind of home museum and the late romosqure church Saint Jacobus make the town attractive for a visit under the year.


Abenberg castle:
The castle with its true name "Burg Abenberg" is the landmark of the town. In the past this castle was a while in the own of the lords of Hohenzollern and changed more time in its history the ower.
Today Abenberg castle operates an restaurant a intern hotel and give the opportunity for celebreating weddings. Also two museums are there and in summertime Abenberg organized different festivals like the Abenberg Open Air which includes amazing shows and music on a stage in particular rock and heavy metel.


Backround:
According to the cold tempreture this video needs two days of filming. On the first day I filmed inside the old town and one day later I returned back to Abendberg for filming the castle.
