Camino de Santiago Days 28 & 29: 24km from Sarria to Portomarin & 32.7km to from Portomarin to San Xulian

Day 28 began after a loud festival the night before in Sarria, which kept me up until 3am. Despite little sleep, I walked 24km to Portomarin, passing the 100km marker. After all private albergues were booked up, I stayed in the municipal albergue and spent the afternoon exploring the town.

Day 29 was a 32.7km walk to San Xulian, with a visit to the ruins of Castro de Castromaior. I had a fantastic evening in a family-run albergue, catching up with Laurence, enjoying a delicious burger, a cold Radler, and soaking up the sun.

Join me as I pass the 100km marker, explore Castro de Castromaior, and adjust to the sudden influx of pilgrims on crowded trail.
