Originally from China, persimmon trees have been grown for thousands of years for their delicious fruit and beautiful wood.
Their orange-colored fruits called persimmons are known for their sweet, honey-like flavor.

In autumn, walking on any road, one can easily find persimmon trees full of fruit. That means it's the harvest season for the ripe fruit.

The orange colour of ripe persimmon looks like lights in the daylight. The harvest season starts in mid-September. But the trees look best from October when all the leaves fall and remain only ripe fruit on branches.While hundreds of types exist, the Hachiya and Fuyu varieties are among the most popular.

Persimmons can be eaten fresh, dried or cooked and are commonly used around the world in jellies, drinks, pies, candy, cake, jam, fruit wine, or dried persimmons

Not only are persimmons tasty, they’re packed with nutrients that can benefit your health in several ways.
