The Sainthia Shaktipeeth, also known as Nandikeshwari Temple or Nandipur Shaktipeeth, is a revered Hindu shrine located in Sainthia, Birbhum district, West Bengal.

After offering prayers at Atthas Shaktipeeth, we reached another Shaktipeeth, Nandikeshwari temple in Bengal after visiting an hour. It is known as Shaktipeeth Sainthia Shaktipeeth, Nandikeshwari Temple or Nandipur Shaktipeeth, it is a prestigious Hindu pilgrimage center located in Sainthia city in Birbhum district of West Bengal.
Located about 200 km from Kolkata, the city of Sainthia is located on the banks of the Mayurakshi River, JO is sacred by the holy goddess Maa Nandikeshwari. Goddess's name is 'Nandi', who is the mascot and follower of Shiva, and is derived from 'Ishwari' (Goddess), which means 'that is worshiped by the divine bull Nandi.'
The history of Nandikeshwari Temple is associated with the incident of self-sacrifice by Sati at the Yagya Sabha of his father Daksha, as Daksha insulted Sati and her husband Shiva. It is believed that when the Sudarshan Chakra of Lord Vishnu cut Sati's body from his arms to reduce the anger of Lord Shiva, then the necklace of Sati's body fell here, which led to the construction of Shakti Peeth. The current temple was built in 1913.
The sacred view of the goddess inside the sanctum sanctorum can enchant any devotee. The main idol in the temple is of a black stone, which is now almost red, as devotees use vermilion to worship the holy stone as Nandikeshwari. The idol is decorated with silver crown and three golden eyes.
There are many temples within the border including Ram-Sita Temple, Shiva Temple, Maha Saraswati Temple, Maha Lakshmi-Ganesh Temple, Lakshmi-Narayan Temple, Radha Govinda Temple, Bhairav Nandikeshwari Temple, Hanuman (Bajrangbali) Temple are eligible for special mention.
Statues of Das Mahavidya have been carved on the walls towards the main temple.
Festivals are celebrated on Baishakhi Purnima or Buddha Purnima with special yajna. Special rituals are also performed on Kali Puja and Amavasya. Durga Puja: Devotees celebrate Navratri in this temple in the month of Ashwin (September-October). Navratri is also celebrated around March-April in the month of Chaitra in summer. Diwali is one of the most admirable and auspicious festivals in this city
A grand fair is also organized in the temple around Mahashivaratri and the mother is offered 'food' (rice) in the afternoon every afternoon.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is the nearest airport located 193 km from the temple.
The nearest railway station is Nandipur station, Sainthia Junction, 700 meters from Shaktipeeth. There are many public buses and private vehicles to reach this temple.
