🌿 BMWQG 31-Day Challenge — Day 5
Bone Marrow Washing Qigong (洗髓功)
Welcome to Day 5 of the BMWQG 31-Day Bone Marrow Washing Qigong Challenge.
Today we continue to reinforce the full Pre-Preparation and Anti-Gravity Qigong practice, while adding circular Qigong movements that help release tension, improve mobility, and support smooth Qi flow throughout the body—especially helpful for stiffness and discomfort related to prolonged sitting or computer use.
A foundational principle in Qigong for alleviating pain and stiffness is learning how to relax the body.
Rather than forcing stretches, we use gentle methods that allow the body to open naturally.
🧠 QIGONG PRINCIPLE — RELAXATION ALLOWS EASE
To reduce tension and pain, we work with:
-self-patting
-weight shifting
-circular movements
-whole-body coordination
As the body relaxes, movement becomes lighter and more fluid, allowing us to stretch with ease rather than effort—a key principle in both 12 Treasures Qigong and Bone Marrow Washing Qigong.

General patting to awaken circulation and release surface tension
Qi Shower / Pull Down Heavens Qigong

-Big Buy
-Embrace the World
-Birthday Candles (Forward & Reverse) / Parallel to the Ground Circles
Row Boat Qigong (Forward Microcosmic Orbit Circle of Qi is generated)
Knead the Dough Qigong (Reverse MCO Circle of Qi is generated), both are perpendicular to the ground
-practiced forward and in reverse
-supporting smooth circular Qi flow along the Microcosmic Orbit (MCO)
-improving coordination, spinal mobility, and ease of movement

circular palm and finger rotation movements practiced since Day 1
Anti-Gravity Qigong
-reinforcing knee rotations
