We're practicing Breath of Fire or Kapalbhati today.
This is a quick-paced, rhythmic breathing practice, also known as 'skull-shining breath'. It is considered an internal purification practice, used to cleanse the internal organs, energize the nervous and circulatory systems and boost metabolism. Tingling sensations and light-headedness may be experienced with this technique.
That said, if you are pregnant, have high-blood pressure or feel dizzy, please stop immediately and substitute with soft slow breathing.
