📝✨ Ingredients
🖤 Kala chana (black chickpeas, soaked overnight)
🧅 Onion (chopped)
🧄 Ginger garlic paste
🌶️ Green chilies
🌶️ Red chili powder
🌕 Turmeric powder
🌿 Coriander powder
🧂 Salt (to taste)
🌿 Fresh coriander leaves
🛢️ Cooking oil
💧 Water
👩🍳🍛 Method (Step by Step)
Put soaked black chickpeas (kala chana) into a pressure cooker.
Add onion, garlic, red chili powder, salt, turmeric, and water.
Close the lid and pressure cook until the chickpeas are fully soft (about 1 hour).
Once cooked, open the cooker and cook on medium heat until the water dries up.
Add oil and sauté (bhunai) the chickpeas well until fragrant and slightly dry.
Add water again and cook for about 15 minutes so the chickpeas absorb the flavors properly.
Turn off the heat and garnish with green chilies and dry coriander.
Your delicious kala chana is ready to serve!
