This video shows how hiking can wash away anxiety and depression. Many folks take an unstable path when hiking (and in life), attempting to keep their feet dry, climbing over wobbly objects. This is fast, but dangerous, especially in old age. It is better to slow down. Look where you are going, change your path as necessary, and enjoy the moment. If the terrain is slippery, use a support system such a walking stick or trekking poles. Wear all-weather shoes, so that getting wet is not a problem. Every obstacle you encounter is different. Learn from your experience. Take your time.
"Don’t be shy about asking for help. It isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s a sign of strength. It shows that you have the courage to admit you don’t know something and want to learn something."
The song “Water in the Creek by Josh Woodward is central to the message. Videography by Ken Kramm, March 8, 2024, filmed at “The Waterfall Trail, Placerita Canyon, CA, USA.
