Today we ventured over to Southern Illinois to capture Illinois Central “Deathstar” SD70s and we were fortunate to get a pair of them and chase them for the day.

We started in DuQuoin and chase them on the CN St Louis Sundivision where they would work Prairie State with the L590 “relief crew” they also interchanged with the Kaskaskia Port Railway and bring back more cars to work Prairie State. They would also crew change when they got back with the L544 crew to finish up the job.
