Creating a figure 4 ground snare, that could be used as a trip snare, pressure snare, bait snare or a fishing snare. While a bent sapling or cantilever can be used spring, a pully system is used in this instance.
The figure 4 snare can be temperamental, it's a relatively simple trigger to carve and set up. Consisting of a post that is secure in the ground, a trigger and a brace, it is sensitive and the trigger line must be set up at the correct angle or the trigger will not be secure.
