This recipe is in no way etched in stone. Try your own combinations eliminate things that you don't like or add things you might like such as maple syrup. Below are the measurements for the oatmeal sausage.This recipe can be frozen for later use. Let me know how it turns out for you.
1 tablespoon of Sage
1 tablespoon of fennel seeds
1 teaspoon of ground thyme
1 teaspoon of vegetable bouillon
1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
1/8 teaspoon of red chili flake (optional)
1 teaspoon of black strap molasses
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
2 1/2 cup of water
2 cups of rolled oats (old-fashioned)
1/8 teaspoon of marjoram (optional)
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of onion powder
2 tablespoons of olive oil
In a pot… bring to a boil 2 1/2 cups of water. Add soy sauce to the water along with your vegetable bouillon. Once water is boiling, add all of your seasonings along with the 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Next, add your oatmeal stir for about 3 minute then turn the stove off. Let your mixture sit until it's cool. Once the mixture has cooled, make patties and fry on top of the stove with a little olive oil. Enjoy your meal.
