Investigator Skills Development Unit Webinar from Wednesday, May 3, 2023

This talk provides an overview of the rationale for and categories of practice-based research, as well as approaches to develop practice-based research partnerships, adopting a health equity lens.

Michael Potter, MD, is a professor in the UCSF Department of Family and Community Medicine and a core faculty member of UCSF’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). In these roles, he directs CTSI’s primary health care practice-based research network and provides consultations to support academic research taking place in community based settings. In his own research, Dr. Potter focuses on the development and evaluation of primary care interventions that increase access to essential preventive services and chronic illness care.
