Strength training with arthritis is a great way to ease the burden of daily tasks like climbing stairs. And regular physical activity can even alleviate common arthritis symptoms, like pain and stiffness. This full-body exercise routine can get you started. But before you begin any exercise program, it’s important to talk to your doctor or physical therapist. And always start every workout with a warm-up and end every workout with a cool-down. A simple march exercise — which can be done seated or standing — will fill the bill.
