Today, we're sharing a beloved Konkani delicacy — Ponsa Mulik — a sweet jackfruit fritter made during the monsoon season when jackfruits are at their best. This easy and delicious recipe comes straight from the kitchens of Konkani households of coastal Karnataka & Goa.
Crispy outside, soft and sweet inside, Ponsa Mulik is a festive treat enjoyed during family gatherings, tea time, and temple feasts. Made with ripe jackfruit, jaggery, coconut, and rice flour, this snack is packed with natural flavors and nostalgic memories.
INGREDIENTS:
250 Grams Jackfruit Conserve
180 Grams Rice Rava
100 Grams Grated Coconut (Optional - All fritters will have to fried and consumed on same day)
Little Rice flour if batter becomes too thin
