Ciclovia Alpe Adria Radweg - Alpe Adria Cycle Trail - Stage 1 - Salzburg to Golling: 26.5km - 68 minutes. Indoor Cycling Workout. With telemetry.

Stage 1 - Salzburg to Golling: 26.5km - 68 minutes - 140m ascent - 80m descent.
Starting at the Main train station, the Alpe-Adria Cycle path links up with both the Eurovelo 7 and the Mozart Radweg, following the Salzach river. We travel south enjoying some stunning views to Hallein where the Tauernradweg also links up with us. Carrying on, we enjoy a wonderful alpine vista before finishing at Golling an der Salzach.

Alpe Adria Cycle Trail:
The route leads from the historic city of Salzburg to the beautiful resort town of Grado on the Italian Adriatic covering approximately 410 kilometres. Along the way, you cycle through the splendour of the Austrian Alps and past Hohenwerfen Castle (which featured in the films 'Where Eagles Dare' and 'The Sound of Music'). You also travel through the wonderful Austrian county of Carinthia, renowned for its sunshine, crystal-clear drinking quality lakes and rugged mountains. From Carinthia, the route crosses the Italian border joining a remarkable ex-railway line through the beautiful Tarvisio, through repurposed railway tunnels and over dedicated bridges that once ferried many rail passengers through the Italian Alps. The route then moves through the Friuli wine region and into the lovely city of Udine before finally venturing out to the Adriatic coast and the charming coastal resort town of Grado.
