Efren seam welded his car...everywhere! We had a great time strengthening this Porsche 912E chassis for some serious track use. Here's proof that a beginner can do challenging welds! We went through very thorough cleaning techniques considering this is an almost 50 year car.
Wire wheeling, undercoating removal, sandblasting, sealant picking, pre-heating, hammering, vacuuming, blowing, TIG, pulsed MIG, Grinding, re-welding, re-coated, boroscope inspection, cellete inspection, cellete pulling, cavity wax coating are just a few techniques that Efren and I tried on this project.
Overall, I'm extremely pleased for Efren to dive in and tackle a project like this. His car is going to be awesome!
