There has been a church at the site of St Mary's in Bushbury for a very long time. The cross base in the churchyard is thought to be around 1000 years old, making it one of the oldest structures in Wolverhampton. At the back of the church is Bushbury Hill, from the top of which you can see for several miles out into Staffordshire.
