At a news conference in Ottawa, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre reveals his party's plan to strengthen the Accountability Act. His proposed changes include requiring anyone advising the government to register as a lobbyist, banning politicians from making decisions that benefit themselves or their families, and requiring party leaders to disclose their assets within 30 days of becoming leader and requiring prime ministers to divest themselves of their assets within 30 days of assuming office.
