Multnomah County weighs proposed changes to homeless housing funding

A measure to fund homeless housing services may be on the ballot again in May.
Metro, the regional government that oversees the supportive housing services tax, proposed changes to the measure that include extending it to 20 years. The current program, which took effect in 2021, provides funding for the next 10 years. The proposed measure would also adjust the income threshold to keep up with inflation and expand the use of the funds.
