Cycling Between Barossa Valley Wineries… What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Barossa Valley: Cycling + wine… what could go wrong? Turns out, it’s actually really fun! We visited the famous Barossa Valley in South Australia and tried some of Australia’s BEST wine. We tasted our way through 7 different wineries… it was quite a journey (for Josie…) 😅

We start our Barossa Valley tour at Penfolds Winery, where we get that first sip of wine in… plus an $800 wine taster 😮 Then we’re onto Torbreck... this might be our favourite winery of them all, and the customer service was just fantastic, highly recommend. Josie’s favourite wine, “The Steading”, is from Torbreck… so it’s safe to say she loved this one 😍

Next up: David Franz (the son of Peter Lehmann). We hadn’t heard of this one before… but it’s definitely a place we won’t forget. Easily the most beautiful winery we visited, with some very unique wines! And last, but not least... for day 1: Chateau Tanunda… great wines, and the end of the road for us… probably for the best 😅

Day 2… rough start for Josie 😆 We visit Seppeltsfield, Jacob’s Creek, and end our journey at Chateau Yaldara! 🍷

We absolutely loved the Barossa Valley… and its wines. It’s definitely somewhere we’ll return to, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting Adelaide / South Australia 😁
