The denim fur technique is a contemporary upcycling method, increasingly adopted by both established designers and emerging creatives. In my work, I used denim from old jeans. The process can involve preparing a fringe from fabric offcuts and stitching it onto the surface, or sewing strips of fabric first and then cutting them into fringes. The material is then gently crumpled, and the fringe strands are teased out to create a soft, fluffy texture. #handmade #upcycling #textileupcycling #fabricmanipulation
