Rehri goth karachi is one of Pakistan's oldest fishing villages along the coastal areas, now merged with metropolitan Karachi. Located along the coastal belt in between the eastern outskirts of Korangi Creek and Port Qasim. Rehri Goth has a 300 years old history mainly the fishermen community they have the benefit of direct access to the mangrove islands of the Indus River Delta. The Rehri Goth land is owned by the Karachi Port Trust.
This was the first time I was at Rehri Goth I explored the jetty, the Rehri Goth Fish Market, the boat makers of Rehri Goth, Shahid Afridi Foundation and the Mangrove Forest.
Currently Rehri Goth is facing major problem related to pollution which is effecting the ecosystem, Marine life and fishermen’s economy.
