During the first week of November 2025 Vancouver Island experienced its first King Tides of the season accompanied my some reasonably high seas. While not a historical storm by any means it made for a week of great storm watching.
In this video I take you to a few of my favourite storm watching locations around Ucluelet on a windy and rainy day when I wasn't able to get the drone on the air for my usual cinematic aerial wave shoots.
All storm footage was shot with a Sony RX10m3 which has a 600mm (equivalent) zoom lens. Please don't endanger yourself by getting close to the water.
