Title:
"Voluntary deep-inspiration breath hold for abdominal cancers: The MSKCC experience"
Abstract:
Respiratory motion poses a significant challenge in the treatment of abdominal cancer, particularly in the localization of the target and sparing of nearby organs at risk. This talk will focus on voluntary deep-inspiration breath hold (DIBH) as a strategy for managing respiratory motion in abdominal cancer treatment. I will discuss the instruments, clinical workflow, challenges, and quality improvement efforts for DIBH, drawing from my experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering
Cancer Center (MSKCC).
Biographical Summary:
Dr. Lee is a proud McGill MPU graduate - he obtained his Masters in 2010 and PhD in 2016, both from McGill MPU. At McGill, he worked under supervision of Dr. Issam El Naqa on machine learning models for radiotherapy toxicity. After PhD, he moved to New York City to complete a 4-year residency program at Memorial Sloan Kettering. He stayed at MSK after graduation and has been
