서울 한복판, 높지도 넓지도 않은 길 위에 오래된 시간의 결이 남아 있는 곳이 있는 정동은 조선 말 개화기의 중심이자, 서양 문물이 처음으로 스며든 거리입니다.
덕수궁 돌담길을 따라 걷다 보면, 대한제국의 마지막 숨결과 함께 서양식 건축물, 교회, 대사관들이 어깨를 나란히 한 이국적인 풍경이 보입니다.
그 속에선 역사의 무게보다 오랜 시간이 남긴 깊은 정취가 묻어 있습니다.

가을이 되면 이 길은 유난히 조용하고 고즈넉함에사 벗어나 사람들의 발길로 활기를 띄게 되는데요.
노랗게 물든 은행잎이 바닥에 쌓이고 바람이 불거나 자동차가 지나가면 그 은행잎들이 이리저리 나부끼는 모습조차 아름답게 느껴집니다.
낡은 담장 위로 스며드는 햇살도 아름답고, 그저 걷는 것만으로도, 오래전 누군가의 발자취를 밟는 듯한 기분이 듭니다.
역사는 박물관 속에 머무르지 않고, 이렇게 계절 속에서 여전히 살아 있습니다.

정동의 가을은 화려하지 않습니다.
그저 묵묵히, 자신이 지나온 세월을 품은 채 조용히 계절을 맞이합니다.
그래서인지 이곳을 걷다 보면 화려함보다는 ‘지나온 시간의 온도’가 마음에 남습니다.
가을이 짧게 스쳐가는 동안, 정동은 늘 그 자리에 있습니다.

말없이, 그러나 계절이 바뀔 때마다 그 시간의 흔적이 쌓이고, 올해도 어김없이 가을이 그 길을 물들였습니다.

Even in the midst of a busy day, I pause for a moment to admire the autumn scenery of Jeong-dong.
In the heart of Seoul, on a modestly sized street, a place where the texture of time lingers, Jeong-dong was the heart of the late Joseon Dynasty's Enlightenment Period and the first street to see Western civilization.
Walking along the stone wall path of Deoksugung Palace, I see the last breath of the Korean Empire alongside Western-style buildings, churches, and embassies, creating an exotic landscape.
In this landscape, a profound sentiment, imbued with a timeless essence, transcends the weight of history.

In autumn, this street breaks free from its quiet and tranquility, becoming vibrant with the footsteps of people.
The sight of the yellow ginkgo leaves rustling in the wind or as cars pass by is a beautiful sight.
The sunlight filtering through the old walls is beautiful, and simply walking along feels like stepping into the footsteps of someone long ago.

History doesn't remain confined to a museum; it lives on in the seasons.

Autumn in Jeong-dong isn't flashy.
It simply embraces the season, quietly, embracing the passage of time.
Perhaps that's why, as I walk through this area, the warmth of time passing by remains in my mind, rather than its grandeur.
While autumn fleets by, Jeong-dong remains forever.
