In Medical terminology we call Baby Dropping as lightening. Baby dropping means that the baby's head which rests above the pelvic cavity has now come inside the pelvis. And this is a sign that the passage of delivery is now ready. That means your body is getting ready for delivery.

When does baby dropping start?
When we are pregnant for the first time then baby dropping happens at a different time and when we are pregnant 2 or 3 times then baby dropping happens at a different time. It has no predictions. Sometimes the elders of our house see this. When our baby bump is reduced, then they tell that the delivery is now going to happen in a week or 2 weeks. Baby dropping starts up to eight and a half months.
When we are pregnant for the first time, then baby dropping happens before delivery. It occurs before delivery in about 80% of mothers.

How do we know that the baby has been dropping?
1- It is easy for us to breathe.
2- When the baby descends, then the uterus gives pressure on the mouth.
3- In our pelvis, a lot of pressure is felt in the lower part.
4- Going to the bathroom frequently.
5- Pain starts in the lower part of the pelvic.
