Principal Mayor Shelbourne finds extra money in the budget, so he invites students to pitch what they would like to spend the money on. Flint suggests a mural of the world’s most important inventions, and is rejected. Brent burps and suggests the Melt Max Cheese Machine for nacho Tuesdays, to thunderous applause. Flint and Sam discover the forumula to getting what you want: Gross plus Comedy! Flint creates the Flint Lockwood Flatulator Incubator to help him toot and get the mural. The students and teachers love it, until Flint toots in Shelbourne’s elevator. Flint tries to stop tooting, but the Flatulator has gotten out of control. Flint tries to hold his toots in, but it just threatens to create a mega-toot. Sam carries Flint down to the docks to use the ocean to suppress the toot’s blast. The resulting explosion of sea creatures creates a rough approximation of the mural Flint wanted in the first place!

Set as a prequel to the two Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs movies, the series focuses on the adventures of Flint Lockwood and Sam Sparks as best friends in high school. While Flint wants to be a successful inventor, Sam longs for fame as a reporter.
