High in the remote Carpathian mountains 🏔️, an elderly couple — Grandma Maria 👵 and Grandpa Vasyl 👴 — live a simple, loving rural life ❤️.
Before sunrise, while it’s still dark outside 🌄, the old wood stove is already burning 🔥. Grandma prepares a full fasting Carpathian meal:
🍲 Bean borscht
🥔 Mashed potatoes with forest mushrooms
🍄 Fried and dried mushrooms
🥗 Sauerkraut salad with beetroot and carrot
While the food cooks, they take care of their animals 🐓🐐 — feeding chickens and goats, and milking the goats with love.
Back home, Grandpa treats Grandma with a spoon of healing red viburnum elixir — she laughs and enjoys it.
After lunch, Grandma crochets a new handmade decoration for their table 🧶, and Grandpa splits firewood outside the house 🪵.
