Both clips in this video are of the same pass. 1979 Monte Carlo with G-Force GF5R clutch assisted transmission and naturally aspirated 408 SBC. I normally don't pull 2nd in the air but I tried on this pass and knocked off a solid tenth. Ran my best of 10.23 at 130 with the clutch assisted GF5R....1.36 60foot. I usually don't use the clutch on shifts..I just quickly back off the throttle as I'm pulling on the shifter. I didn't notice it during the run but on the outside action cam footage you can hear that I backed off it a little more than I should have on the 1-2 shift.
