It's Blue Fin Tuna season and we're right in the heart of it. Me and the guys are jumping on board the Ali-Kat Too w/Captain Jason Temple of @Ali-KatSportfishing . We're rolling out of Beaufort Inlet and making the 4 hour trip up to Hatteras to spend the weekend. We found the break in water temps and began to troll. Between the 2 days we had 3 hook ups that resulted in 2 breaking off. We landed this beautiful 100lb pound fish and we're going to enjoy sushi for a few days! Between the Tunas I saw plenty of other Ocean Life. I saw a couple pods of Humpback Whales, hugs pods of Bunker busting the top, number loggerhead sea turtles and plenty of Hammer Head Sharks. Conditions were about as wrong and rough as you could imagine. 2-4' waves every 10 seconds turned into 5-6' every 5 seconds. Between the ocean, the mist and fog it really put Jason's captain abilities to the test! Needless to say, he passed and we made it home safe.
