A deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office was on patrol when he observed two individuals diving for lobster along the shoreline in the Florida Keys.
In the end, they were both charged with possession of an undersized crawfish. 21-year-old Joshua and 19-year-old Jordan both pled no contest and their adjudication was withheld. They were both sentenced to 6 months of probation, ordered to complete a Florida Fish and Wildlife regulations course, and pay $358 in costs and fees. During the probationary period they were not allowed to fish or dive in Monroe County waters. Approximately 4 months later, they satisfied the conditions set and their probation was terminated.
