In this episode of my 1992 Honda Fireblade restoration project, it's a tale of two steps forward, one giant leap back. I'm tackling the fuel system, starting with fitting a brand new fuel pump to get this classic machine purring.
Or so I thought.
Join me as I run into a frustrating issue with a faulty brand new part, leading to an examination of the pump to find the culprit. It's a bit of a head scratcher, but once I get it sorted and the fuel is finally flowing, things take a turn for the worse. A fuel leak quickly turns into a full blown carburettor catastrophe, forcing me to pull the entire bank of carbs for a much needed rebuild.
