Hello Folks!

So tonight for tea we had this delicious sausage plait :) It’s basically a big sausage roll! You could all sorts of things to this…but I’ve kept it quite simple this time.

Everything I used will be listed below.

Makes 1 large sausage roll or around 6 servings

Puff pastry | mine was 325g (11.4 oz)
400g (14 oz) Sausage meat | I used pork, but use whatever sausage meat you prefer
1 Tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
50g (1.7 oz) Breadcrumbs - I used panko
1 Teaspoon onion granules
1/2 teaspoon garlic granules
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon tomato puree
1 egg + 1 egg yolk

*If you’re going to add sliced onions or mushrooms to the mix, please make sure they are well cooked and cooled down before adding to the sausage meat…this will help to prevent soggy pastry*
