🔸 Lines drawing: conventional graphical representation of the hull, although sometimes it also includes the keel and the rudder/s. The lines drawing contains three different views, which are the projection of the hull onto three orthogonal planes: profile plan, body plan, and plan view.

🔸 Profile Plan: view of the hull from the side, generally placed at the top left of the lines drawing. In this view, we can observe the yacht's appearance (e.g., bow and stern shapes, the sheer line, etc.) and the shape of the buttocks.

🔸 Body plan: view of the hull from the front, usually placed at the top right of the drawing. In this view, we can observe the shape of the sections. The hull's forebody is commonly represented to the right and the afterbody to the left of the hull's symmetry axis.

🔸 Plan view: view of the hull from the top or bottom. Typically located at the bottom of the drawing under the profile plan, it is in this view where the shape of the waterlines and the diagonals can be noticed.
