Dana Wilson’s works for concert band have been widely performed around the world, most notably by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra and the Netherlands Wind Ensemble. Wilson has a doctorate in music composition from the Eastman School of Music, and he served as a music composition professor at Ithaca College until his recent retirement. Incantation and Ritual makes use of some very interesting rhythmic devices, most notably the hemiola.
