It's funny how things change. I used to hold the Wright StreetLite in rather low esteem. Since moving back to Medway and using them far more than I used to, I've grown to like them, especially seeing as the ones we've got down here are some of the best examples of the type I've ever been on. So I thought, let's end the absence of the type over on the South Coast with a batch of 12 9.6m "SLS-type" versions of the StreetLite DF to finish off the Waterlooville local network. This week will see the introduction of the aforementioned StreetLites to work on three new routes in Waterlooville; the 112 between Mill Hill and Lovedean, the 116 between Purbrook and Horndean, and the 118 between Waterlooville Town Centre and Clanfield via Catherington. The Fitzwygram Road garage is a wholly-ADL affair so it's unlikely that these StreetLites will remain on these routes for too long, but they may cause a shift towards Wright for the garage, depending on how the type prove themselves in service.
