Should Doctors ENJOY Sickness?

If a doctor gets a kick out of all the myriad things that can go wrong in the body, does that make them a good student of their craft, or a bit sick in the head? Or both?

I don't mean doctors want their patients to be unwell (no matter what wellness podcasters and antivaxxers claim), but should a doctor be thrilled by the actual process of performing surgery on a patient, or entranced by seeing horrific pathology in action? Do you need a pathological degree of self belief, bordering on, or sometimes well into, narcissism territory?
