Outlander | Jamie & Claire | I Could Not Ask For More | Season 3 - 5

This time the song "I Could Not Ask For More" by Edwin McCain 🙏🏼    / @edwinmccainofficial   forms the frame for my latest outlander video about Jamie & Claire. Again I struggled to decide which version of the song I should choose, cause Sara Evans' version is also exceptionally beautiful. And again, it was the text that helped me decide. I find it a little more suitable for Jamie. And so I tell the video from his point of view.
Ultimately, it's about the happiness and satisfaction of having Claire with him again. Cherishing every day with her, soaking up every happy moment and creating memories. With her by his side, he has everything he missed for 20 years and what he has secretly been waiting for all these years. A small part of him probably always hoped that she would come back to him, even if he had buried that hope deep inside himself so that he could go on living. If he could have wished for anything, that would have been it. When Claire was with him again, this wish came true. To be able to look her in the eye, to touch and feel her, to talk to her, to be Jamie, without any mask, without any other identity, her love, care and tenderness - it was like a dream come true, everything he ever needed and wanted. Claire was and is everything to him, everything she is, there has never been another woman, another love for him. It must have felt like heaven on earth when she suddenly came back into his life. Every prayer has been answered except the one about not wanting to live anymore. So apparently unanswered prayers can also be a blessing (Garth Brooks sings a whole song about it 😉, too bad it's not compatible with Jamie & Claire). Finally time together, time to build the life he had always wanted, a life together. He really could not have asked for more.
For the realization of this theme and the emotions involved, I have limited myself to using footage from seasons 3 - 5 and have given certain scenes more time than I would in other videos. I hope you are floating along with Jamie infinitely happy and grateful to have Claire back and melting away with her because of the way he looks at her and adores her. How we all love those looks, don't we 🫠❤️🩷🧡
