Ombudsman: Leviste presented 'only limited portions' of 'Cabral files' | ABS-CBN News

Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano said Monday (December 29) soft copies of "Cabral files" held by third parties inherently lose evidentiary credibility as they are susceptible to alteration, incomplete context, or manipulation.
Clavano said the Office of the Ombudsman earlier approached Rep. Leandro Leviste regarding the files while former DPWH Usec. Cathy Cabral was still alive and was represented by a counsel.
However, Clavano said Leviste did not present the entire set of files he claimed to possess even when asked to do so, in contrast to the Congressman’s statements suggesting the files were already reviewed by the Ombudsman.
