I've had a few paintings sag lately and I know exactly why. Drumroll please....

It's because they are used canvases. I can say with experience at this point that canvases with underpaintings will not stay taught like new canvases. BUT, they are free! and sometimes I ike the effect the sag gives to my paintings, like this one. SOOOOO, oh well. I'll keep painting over my failures and hoping for the best!
