There can be a mindset in movement-based practices of "no pain no gain." There can be benefits to challenging yourself to gain strength, stamina and endurance. There also can be benefits to a "no pain no pain" mindset.
Explore listening to the body to move towards a pleasure-based practice where we can listen to the intuitive wisdom and enjoyment of movement for the sake of movement itself.
